It was reported in December that the Frauen-Bundesliga was losing one of its top forwards. According to multiple sources, all the paperwork for the transfer have now been completed. Reliable Goal Threat to Boost the Attack The 28-year-old’s signing should represent a significant uplift to the team's attacking options. She has been highly reliable with her finishing in Germany’s top flight. For seven straight seasons, up to and including the last term, she reached at least a double-figures tally of league goals. She won the top scorer award in 2021-22 season with 16 goals. Building Steam at Carrington Securing the German international comes at a time when the club seem to be building positive momentum. Their recent performances feature qualifying for the European knockout phase playoffs in a seeded position and a win in the League Cup quarter-finals. Off the pitch, the winter break has brought additional activity: The acquisition of Swedish right-back Hanna Lundkvist on a three-and-a-half-year deal. The contract extension for Japanese midfielder Hinata Miyazawa, a fan favourite since arriving in 2023.
